Did Kerry Make a Mistake ?
From polipundit, an intriguing pointer to a candidate for the No. 2 slot that Kerry totally overlooked. He coulda been a contenda !
Kerry's perfect running mate
Well, with Washington abuzz with rumors and speculations over who should be Senator Kerry's running mate, attention has been focused on three main candidates who reportedly have been told to clear their schedules in the upcoming days, Senator John "pretty boy" Edwards, Rep. "Boring" Dick Gephardt, and Gov Tom Vilsack "who?" However, I believe the media is overlooking one obvious candidate who might fit in perfectly with the Senator's campaign.
He is broadly supported on the left, he in fact, motivates the Democratic base unlike any other name.
He opposed Operation Iraqi Freedom and preferred that the United Nations be given more time, yet he is know for his tough hawkish military stands and is a veteran.
He is known for being tough on crime and supports the death penalty.
Yet, he is also well known for his preference for strong government and statist solutions to problems.
He is personally secular and irreligious, yet has been broad minded enough to work with religious coalitions to achieve common goals.
Yes, he is the perfect Democratic Vice Presidential candidate. Only problem is, he is on trial now in Iraq. Kerry-Hussein 2004, perfect together.
