TV star says ex had kinky taste

CHICAGO - "Boston Public" actress Jeri Ryan, the former wife of a Republican Senate candidate, claimed in divorce documents released yesterday that he tried to get her to perform sex acts in clubs while others watched.

One incident occurred in New York.

"It was a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling," she said in the documents. She said she refused when her husband, Jack Ryan, asked her to perform a sexual act in view of others.

In the documents, Jack Ryan denied the allegations.

"We did go to one avant-garde nightclub in Paris which was more than either one of us felt comfortable with. We left and vowed never to return," he said.

One Republican member of the Illinois congressional delegation, Rep. Ray LaHood, called yesterday for Ryan to withdraw as a candidate.

"There's no way the people of Illinois are going to countenance this behavior from a Senate candidate from the Republican Party," LaHood said.
