Brainstorm

It just hit me that software agents - the stuff I worked on way back when but that seemed too ahead of its time in 1994 - is just the thing needed to make BitTorrent work better for the casual downloader (i.e. non-geek).

Time to revive the General Magic-like idea of mobile agents and agencies (send your agent out to search for a piece of media, let it negotiate the meta-layer on top of the actual downloading: 'where can I find all of last season's episodes in addition to the chunk of this episode I'm currently downloading', for example).
