Bush Addresses Urban League

I watched this speech live and it reminded me of the many reasons I like Bush. He's a man of faith, he's an ordinary guy at heart, and he's got an often self-deprecating sense of humor. Not to mention that he's frequently 'misunderestimated', yet skilfully, inevitably, maneuvers to eventual victory - confounding his detractors (and sometimes supporters, too !).

In a pretty bold step, President Bush appealed for the African-American vote (at least, that's how the media will put it, I don't subscribe to the idea of a monolithic black vote in the U.S.). Great move ! He put forward several questions which prompted some attendees to concede that, even though Democrats, they were given something to think about.
